i tried synergy but found it had some minor problems. i went back to my kvm. mouseshare appears to work great, no problem so far. i am using one monitor and two computers. one input is on hdmi and the other is dvi. push the button on the lcd to change, perfect. nice peice of software.running win7 64 bit.there is one problem over running a kvm. my primary sytem has the mouse and kb plugged into it. when both systems are running all works perfectly. if i want to start the secondary system by itself, of course the share does not work. that is where a kvm comes in, each share is independent via the kvm button.

imnsho, codec packs are a complete and often dangerous waste of time.pick the codecs you absolutely need, download the latest versions and install them. upgrade them only if absolutely necessary - don't jump just because a new version comes out. your system will run cleaner and give far less grief.i personally have been using that methodology for years (in my case it's a grand total of 6 codecs, not all of them the latest and greatest versions) and i've never been sorry.i have however seen the results of using the codec packs and their scattershot approach on the machines of various friends and associates. many have come crying to me to fix various foibles caused by this type of crap and my advice is always the same:reformat and start over.apply some intelligent and constructive thought to your particular situation and you won't need rubbish like star for a genre (cidec packs) that is far more trouble than it's ever been worth.

the latest and greatest isn't always better. 50mb for an audio driver?? no thanks. i've been happy with v6.0.1.6013 from 2009. less than 14mb.

finally an ipod export tool that downloads files from your ipod quickly and organized. all the file names are there organized in folders of genre. i spent a long time looking for a program to download my ipod without confusing folders and song names to sort through. works perfectly!!!!

@gatorfan95,masking as ie or ff does not mean that opera is using a different engine, it only has 1. what it does, with a little code, is simply identify itself as another browser when sites do their sniffing. browser sniffing is generally used by lazy coders who only test in 1 environment and in actuality has nothing to do with the performance of a browser, it's simply a query in the code.and as far as opera having such a tiny market share, just look at the top browser, which is ie, and tell me with a straight face that it's because it is the best. market share is just a reflection of, as for this release, it's ok. it has made a lot of improvements from the 11 branch but has also added more issues which in the grand scheme of things means it is a better browser albeit flawed. as a photographer i am happy that they've finally included icc profiles, it's about time damn it. but an issue when cleaning private data that resets extension settings has me reverting back to 12.02 for now

now that sharpe is no more this is the perfect replacement.extract to c and open a cmd prompt on the emerge folder and type:"emergecore.exe /shellchanger" (no quotes)hit enter and the rest is historynot bad but moving the applets around is a pain. i just used the installer and not the latest.i'm using everything but hotkeys and the launcher. it does have a sysmon but rainmeter seems to be mo betta. nice i can easily export my theme and it's entirely portable.i have not a clue as to how to get it to look like the screenshot. i've 3 separate 'bars' at the bottom of my screen. so far so good.
