vista 64 sp2 does not install on dell inspirons with vista 64 sp1. dell has no solution, and microsoft claims that this is a dell issue. ca's security suite does not work (it will run - but doesn't supply virus eradication) for vista 64 is so screwed up, that even microsoft's most valued partners can't get their software or hardware to work with it. but they won't say this in public, for fear of the "wrath of microsoft"microsoft's answer is to upgrade to windows 7...... which, by the way, has yet to prove suitable for general distribution.

well, looks like microsoft is leaving the pc in the dust with their newest os. yes, you will be able to access the desktop, but have to do some different things to get to it. this so reminds me of the ubuntu/unity snafu that shook up the linux community. guess change is inevitable.

buggy to say the least.i down loaded it, and tried it. for starters, well, if you change the icon size, it resizes the window with asking. you keep changing, then the window shrinks and becomes, the real issue. it has destroyed all sound on the machine. it seems one of the settings, well, just throws out sound when you uninstall it.i tried talking to tech support on the skye. he seemed to think it is my system (which just happens to be a complete fresh install of windows xp optimized for duo core processors. i think i reinstalled this past week, so installation is still new, i had do download adobe flash player today.) it is not my system, because sounds works just perfectly when i reinstall my sound card driver every boot!stay away form this. anyone have advice on how to completely reinstall windows default audio handling?

those moaning and groaning about errors, bugs, problems, etc. . . . you clearly didn't read the "beta" portion of the forum let alone the application release name.
